Where Gods Fear To Tread
A continent to the South of Elphatal, connected by a narrow land bridge that spans over a hundred miles. The bridge itself is no more than thirty feet wide, and it’s mere existence baffles scholars and geologists, who can only assume that it is the work of magic. Regardless, it is an extremely dangerous route to take, as constant high waves and exceedingly fast winds make the path treacherous, to say the least. It is the only safe route besides airship though, as the continent itself is surrounded by vicious winds and terrible currents that will destroy any ship that lets its guard down. Tephrans believe that the Prime cursed the land, causing the odd weather conditions.
The continent itself is incredibly, impossibly, unreasonably dangerous. Massive beasts prowl the seemingly endless plains, volcanoes erupt in the mountains with little to no warning, and terrible earthquakes and tornadoes wrack the land. Or at least, that’s what the few, heavily traumatized explorers report when they return from expeditions there. No explorers have been sent there in the last century, as more pressing international worries have taken precedence, but there are rumors that humans do live there. If this is true, then those humans must be something very special.
